1. Introduction

Welcome to Garage Bills. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting the financial and operational data of your vehicle repair garage or spare parts business. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our multi-tenant SaaS application.

2. Information We Collect

To provide our billing, inventory, and ledger services, we collect:

• Account Data: Owner name, phone number, password hash, email address, shop name, and shop address.
• Business & Tenant Data: Client / customer details (names, phone numbers, vehicle registrations), job card records, spare parts inventory quantities, purchase/sale rates, and daily/monthly expense logs.
• GST Information: If enabled, we store your shop's GSTIN and line-item tax details to generate GST-compliant invoices and tax summaries.
• Payment & Billing Data: Transaction details processed via our payment gateway (Razorpay) for subscription plan purchases and manual renewals. We do not store full credit card details.

3. Data Isolation and Security

We implement industry-standard database structures and isolation logic to guarantee the privacy of your shop data:

• Row-Level Isolation: Every record in our shared database is mapped to a unique tenant ID. One garage owner can never view, edit, or access another garage owner's data.
• Secure Hosting: App data is stored in secure cloud servers with access control logging, backups, and encryption-at-rest.
• Asset Safety: Uploaded business logos and invoice PDFs are stored securely inside private cloud object storage buckets (AWS S3) and served via secure links.

4. How We Use Information

We only use your data to maintain and improve the system functionality:

• To initialize and secure your isolated tenant workspace.
• To calculate and generate professional PDF bills, GST reports, and credit (Udhar) ledgers.
• To deliver operational messages, OTP logins, and customer bill links (via SMS or WhatsApp).
• To manage plan updates, payments, and subscription limits.

We never sell, rent, trade, or distribute your business data or your customers' contact information to third parties.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

If your subscription expires or is suspended due to non-payment, we place your workspace into read-only mode and retain your data for up to 90 days. After 90 days of inactivity, or upon explicit deletion requests by the garage owner, the isolated tenant data will be completely purged from our active databases.
